Retired from 50 yrs. in the photographic industry in 1998 to become full time maker, writer (Blade, Knives Illustrated, & Knife World), and teacher
He began making knives part time in the late 70s with the help of Bay Area Knife Makers Assn. members in San Francisco area from a hobby background of gunsmithing and building
