Custom Chopper (Jeremy Horton)

I recently had a chance to "play" with a tough knife made by a young smith, Jeremy Horton. It's called a Camp Blood (XL version):

The knife is made of 0.25" A-2 steel. It's just shy of 16" long with a 10.25" blade. The blade is fully convexed on both sides and is extremely sharp (as my sore thumb will attest). The handles are hand-smoothed G10. I haven't weighed the blade, but it feels light and lively in the hand.

I sheathed one of those a few months back and LOVED it. I'm not sure I've ever seen a blade more "beefy" and sharp at the same time. It's a winner

I'm not a huge fan of the light green G-10, but I really like the knife. Jeremy makes some excellent big knives.
