I'm in the same boat you are. I carry two when I pack; the chopper shown and a smaller utility knife (which I vary based on what I feel like carrying-here I haven't found 'the one'). I still find that chopper more than adequate. However, I don't need a knife to bushwack (as you would use a machete). I feel more than comfortable taking on a 4" tree with that knife and that's about as big as I'd ever want to go, so I don't feel the need for something larger. It really is surprising what a well designed blade can do. With the wider blade and that profile, the balance gives good power behind chops. I hate to beat a dead horse here (especially since there are many good makers out there), but Burt has done several matching sets and I have a bowie/hunter that I love from him. He's also done the two-to-a-sheath thing.
All of that said, if you're looking for new ideas, I would google custom knives, go to a number of purveyors' sights, and start browsing. Some of them you can sort by style/type of blade. I'm sure you could get some suggestions of places to start looking.
