Blade swapped contoured titanium and gold flake carbon frame with milled clip. The knife is new except for the spa treatment I performed while completing the swap. I used a Syperco ceramic stone to clean the burr off the apex and then a leather strop to ensure consistency before wiping the blade down with EDCi. The edge is now sharper than from the factory. I also added a drop of oil to the bearings and the outside of the lock button, and to reduce the chance of lock stick I cleaned the button pockets and coated them with tuf-glide dry lube. Unfortunately, I put a small nick in the finish on the show side scale near the pivot when I broke it loose (I included a view in the photos).
I wanted to build a deep carry S90V Pyrite so these scales (new) ended up matched to a fresh (also new) AR-RPM9 blade; the contoured scales are noticeably more comfortable in hand (yes, I wiped them down after handling); but milled clips aren't really my style. According to Artisan Cutlery's website, only 83 of the contoured scales are left (as of 08.Aug.2023), so this will also be a limited production build.
