custom contact wheel

Hello Knifemakers, a while back I picked up a beautiful 11" X 2" steel wheel from surplus center. I would like to put a rubber face on it and use it for a contact wheel. What kind of rubber is best, and what would be the best adhesive to use? Thanks, Twig

You don't glue a strip of rubber onto a wheel core, it will come unglued


You pour liquid rubber into a mould and cure it on the core.

These guys recover wheels too, depending on where your at you might save on shipping, they are going to recover and increase the size of my wheel for 133$ plus shipping, these people do urethane and not the rubber found on other wheels
