These little diamond hones are great for keeping your edge touched up. Also have a groove for sharpening fish hooks. I have 6 of these available...I've turned the barrels from various types of woods. From top to bottom they are:
1 Mesquite
2 Ironwood
3 Red Mallee
4 Narrow Leaf Mallee
5 Padauk
6 Imbuya
The fittings are chrome plated.

Just received my Hone and you guy's are missing out big time....
I got the Ironwood and it is perfectly turned and polished, it eeek's quality...
The diamond Hone rod fits very secure in the handle, won't fall out... The diamond
rod itself isn't very big, but it has quite a bit of bite to it... You could actually
sharpen a small blade or hone a large blade with it...The negative part is the darn
thing is so nice looking I don't wan't to use it... Comes in a nice plastic case
for storage, along with a description of what it is... If your on the fence about this
one, go for it, even if you never use it you got your money's worth!

The mesquite handled one is now gone too...4 left.
