So, did I actually have to order online to be eligible? I ordered from the C/P shop, which is not available online, only by fax or mail. How disappointed do I need to be now?

I think all you need to do is place an order to be eligible. I don't believe the intent was strictly online orders (but, I believe C/P orders ARE online, even thought you fax the form in - you still went to the C/P store, which is on the website). But, you shouldn't get your hopes up anyway - I'm gonna win.
