With the Spartan clip there are different sword designs (the upper clip of the two pictured is taken... bottom clip is available). Machined from 12K tow unidirectional carbon fiber having a single layer of 1X1 plain weave checkerboard carbon fiber sheathing top and bottom. During machining and hand finishing the upper sheathing layer is almost completely eliminated... so the plain weave pattern is almost undecernible.
