Custom ESEE Scales Form The-Knife-Connection

I like those TKC scales on my ESEE4. They add length, girth, and the contours make it a better knife. They still end up a bit sharp on the edges, but I guess they have to be to work with existing sheaths. Here's mine next to a Bark River Bravo 1, they end up having about the same length handle. The BR B-1 has a more rounded handle, but both work.

Yeah, but if you wanted you could always add liners, round the edges some, and then have a custom sheath made for it. It would definitely up the cost but would be a heck of a knife.

My Fav. is the Rat RC-3 as it just feels good in the hand. It must as I have 3 of them and only one of the 4's --- but the first thing I do with all my Rats -- ESEE's and BK's is put Custom Handles on them and a Custom Sheaths. Gets to be exspensive but it is worth it. Yes I like the Blue also and just wish I had it for a few others.!*

That's why I was actually sad when Condor "de-smurfed" their handles. A bright color that's extremely rare in nature and doesn't burn your eyes. It's also "friendly." If you hold up a Benchmade Mini Gritilian with a black handle and one with a blue handle and ask an average person off the street which one looks more threatening, they'll always ALWAYS point to the black one.

I know, Lisa's Breeden is smaller than mine but it's still patterned after a more tactical design I had made before...but the blue G10 gives it a totally non tactical feel and appearance. The blue does really stand out in the woods, and as you said doesn't hurt the eyes. I know the orange stands out too but I really just can't stand it, it just hurts to look at it....

Not if you drop it in fall. ;)

They are really comfortable handle scales and add another level of function to the knife for me.

Is that the leather drop loop attachment that you have attached to your ESSE 4 (available from the same place as the handle scales)?
