Here are some file knives I made from Nicolson, Heller, Simmonds files and they are tempered down to the mid 50's mid 60's rockwell tell me what you guys think. I am working on more designs that I will post later.

From what I can make out , the grinds look for the most part even , the designs seem useful ,,your pins seem big enough for size..You have some ability...
What are you grinding with .? Whats the grip materials .?
I would work a regular pattern till its mastered ,,write stuff down ,,research your materials to make sure they will hold up to use and age...
Try some smalls and sharpen your ability...Work safe...

I think the one thing I would recommend is taking the time to drive the bevels up. I don't know if they were just your first ones or if you just didn't take them higher, but such low bevels are, IMO, both unattractive and detrimental to performance on thick blades. YMMV
 
That grind is 15 deg on each side and these knives were made with my old grinding jig, now I use a 10 degree jig that grinds alot higher. Also if you look at the 2 little pics at the top are ground higher than the others.
