This is a custom barong from Maimbung, Sulu in the Philippines. It was purchased by Jee Choi and modified. These modifications are best explained by Jee himself, here is a video where he describes this knife and its carry method.
I bought this from Jee before he moved to New Zealand. Unable to bring dangerous shit with him, he sold me this barong and set of sticks. The sticks are burnt bamboo, with charred tips. Like the barong, they also have a custom help cord wrap on them, very comfortable and secure.
The barong handle and sheath have some scuffs and dents on them as shown in the pics. I can attest that this knife is light, fast, easy to draw, and cuts like a MF. Needs to belong to a better home.
