Here are a bunch of custom fixed blades I am selling to thin the herd.
At one time, I was rescaling blades as a hobby (retired). I am getting away from it and I am traveling more. And my blank guy went to Chinese steel, so I dumped him. Those blades I am selling here are my personal blades. And I have used them.
Most of these are used. A couple are like new. Several I bought here at BF 2-3 years ago. LOTS of blades.
Payment by PayPal or POSTAL USPS Money Order. If paying by PayPal, add 2% (I will eat the other 1.5%) or send as gift. Shipping included to lower 48. MAY ship internationally, or to HA and AK, but ask first as shipping and handling will be more. I also put conditions on International Shipping that you must agree to before I ship.
I MAY trade for Spydercos only.
This thread is picture intensive, so be patient.
Ok, enough of that, here we go.
Here is a Stock knife I rescaled. The story on this one is that I found an old butcher knife in a junk pile and ground and scaled it. The junk pile was at a Ghost Town that was closed in 1913, so I believe this blade is at least that old. I found it in 1997. The town was in the Rockies of Colorado. I had lived there for several years, and had rode my Harley all over Colorado. Good times. I also found a machete that I have yet to knock the scale off. It still has one handle still on it. I think it will be a wall piece.
Anyway, by the time I got the rust and scale off the blade, what you see is what was left. I scaled it in Black Corian and brass pins. I had to make it a two finger as the tang was in pretty bad shape. I added a front finger choil to help the grip. There is NO rust or scale on this blade. I don't know why it looks like it in the pics. Has to be a reflection as the blade is very polished. I have no idea what steel, but high carbon. OAL is 9.5", cutting edge is 4.25". Very nice upward sweep on the blade.
I purchased a soft leather sheath for another project, but the pouch sheath fits this blade so well, AND it is a replica of a sheath made in the mid 1800's, so I think it works very well with this blade. It can be used for other blades, if you have a period piece, already. Sheath and knife is $old.
Whew, that's all folks!
