Hey folks, I'm new af here, let me break down what's just happened.

Ive looked at some knives I want online.

I'm comfortable with doing the work myself, but don't have the resources to make a good enough kiln/forge, but I can make a design at least.

I'm wondering how much it would cost to get a custom made Demascus steel karambit.

I love the ring design for the finger, and I love the curved blade, but I haven't been able to find one online that I want to buy, and the ones I do want to buy aren't damascus.

Could someone either walk me through the building of a set up for working with demascus, or collaborate with me to make something cool unique and beautiful?

Perhaps I can help you. I am Finnish puukko maker, and I do not know karambit very well. However, I promised for one Vietnamese martial artist that he can make a karambit in my forge. Perhaps we can also forge a blade for you. I already have a Damascus steel which have O1 and 4%Ni steel (Böhler K600). A draft forged blade blank will cost around 150 USD and you should finish the blade.

I might be able to help. So are you looking to finish the blade yourself?
I can basically make a kit blade. I havent done a karambit style blade, but im up for the challenge. I wont be able to do Damascus as its very expensive for me to buy. What is your price point?

I can do an acid etch pattern to look like dmascus.
Send me a picture of the design and we can go from there.
