So I have this flashlight-Fenix-TK22-LED-Flashlight.jpg

It's a Fenix TK22. The Nylon sheath that Fenix sent with it is already wearing down and the strap is coming off of the body. I want to look into getting a custom leather sheath made for it. I discovered that the Nylon sheath, since it is very bendable, has this cool ability to let you turn the light on while on your hip without taking it out of the holster, so it could be used as a makeshift lantern.

Question 1. Can I even get a custom leather flashlight sheath made?

2. Would it be possible to add some sort of fabric/material/softer leather/ or something else to keep this lantern capability?

3. How much am I looking at for a custom leather sheath? I know each craftsman has their own prices...so just a general ballpark would be ok.

Funny, I was just carrying my tk15 around camp the last few days and ended up just tossing it in my pocket because the nylon sheath was terrible. I never tried to turn it on while in its sheath but it makes sense. You are talking about the on/off not the side intensity button right?

I have only made multi tool sheaths (outside of knives), but it seems like an easy proposition to sew on a nylon flap to keep that functionality. The maker would need to make it so that the light would escape in the manner that you like, but again, doesn't seem that hard.

As for price, I have no idea.
