Custom Gamestalker

Excellent work. I never did like those greasy owl snot feeling grips on my Potbelly.

Yea i liked the knife but the sheath and scales had to go.

wow. those look like someone stitched up a runned over armadillo and put it through an atom bomb test...

tough and badass and all, but wow. not for me.

Thanks Guys. Glad so many of you like it!!

I really love this thing since I changed the handles.

Can't wait for the new JAB to come out to make a matching set.

Bladite, It was returned to me weeks ago, guess you gave me the wrong address or your mailman is out to get you. lol

So I finally got a chance to skin and process a deer with it and I must say that it is by far one of the best shaped skinners I've ever used.

It fit perfectly into my hand and was designed extremely well for skinning. Wish I had pictures, but my father was in town and I wanted to send him home with some meet and visit with him a bit. Hopefully I'll get another deer this week and take some pics.

Overall I am extremely happy with this knife and would recommended it to anyone looking for a skinning or hunting knife.

I love the wood scales but since it was not stabilized wood, I am getting some movement in the wood as the humidity changes. I am going to strip the oil finish off and apply something a little more weather resistant. If any one has any ideas, please let me know. I will defiantly use stabilized wood next time.

I also used my BK-16 as well to compare it with. I think someone a while ago was debating on the BK-16 or the Gamestalker for a hunting knife. I will say that the Gamestalker is a better skinner hands down but the BK-16 will get the job done and is a better all around type of knife for more than just hunting. I'd say the Gamestalker should be paired with a little larger knife like the BK-15 or something to make processing the entire deer a little easier.

If Ka-bar would make some micarta scales for the Gamestalker, it would be a perfect knife.
