Hi folks -

I recently send Phillip Dobson my CQC-7 to have it reground and fitted with custom scales.

Phillip ground this blade out and sent a picture -

I can't wait to see what Mr. Dobson comes up with for the scales!

That looks sweet, the tip kind of reminds me of Hinderers spanto. THe polish on that looks great.

Saw that in the blade polish thread, absolutely sick looking! You're going to have a hell of a knife!!:)

Hi folks -

Here is a pic of the scales in process - I cannot wait to get my hands on this knife!

wow. wow. wow.

was it a tanto and now a spanto?

Hi MORIMOTOM -

It was a partially serrated tanto, and now it has a 10" hollow grind on the main blade, the tanto tip is convex ground, and the spine now has a swedge.

It should be a real stunner - it was a beat up user to start with.

Looking good! Is that oak? Oh, glad you fixed the red "X", I was begining to think you might be getting SAK scales? :D:D

Hi pvincenzi -

Per Mr. Dobson, it is stabilized European brown oak.
