It is a real beauty in my opinion - I am very pleased with the outcome.

Thanks Mr. Dobson!

That's quite a knife :cool::thumbup:

The Oak looks great with the black bolsters. (I take it the bolsters are black G-10 ?)

The black is paper micarta. I like the way that material works, very pleasant.

I chose the oak because Mqqn wanted something that didn't look so nice that he'd be afraid to beat it up. The oak looks good, and will continue to look good (sort of an of "old world" look) after years of hard use.

I quite agree, a nice choice of materials that defo. give the knife a nice classy look. :)

(I have some rather rare ornamental Ewe wood I got from a felling job on an old estate. That wood has
been curing for the last 8 or so years. I'm keen to get that stabalised and used on a knife or two).

Wow, that might be IMO the best looking Emerson blade yet! The contrasts that piece has between the oak, and the micarta then the American tanto blade. Its just impressive as hell, looks like it'll wear into an even better folder with a good bit of wabi-sabi esq beauty!

Wow that thing is stunning. May I ask how much you paid for it? I'd like to have something similar done.
