Custom scales made for most factory and plain jane handmades. If you want to replace those common unsightly G-10 scales on your favorite linerlock, lockback, or pocket knife with something special like exotic woods, stone, horns, pearl, ivories etc. check out my site, members.xoom.com/ats34/ also offering fine filework to even the hardest steels, also offering full custom work to autos, my speciality. You will see a small sample of knives done on special requests in my site. I have been doing this work for nearly 14 years, and for the last 6 years full time. And those in the NY, NJ area we have a great club called the Empire knife club, the second wed. of every month are the meetings, you can see some of my work ea. month there. And you will meet a bunch of great guys selling and showing all typs of knives, from vintage to current. Email me for any and all info regarding custom work and or info on the our club. Frank

Frank, I took a look at your site, and those are some bee-yoo-tee-ful knives. Especially the Jot Sing Khalsa! You do some beautiful work. Nice work on the stone options page, too.

Frank, good to see you posting here. I couldn't make this months Empire meeting, but I hope I'll see you there in June. For you folks that haven't seen Franks work in person, it's great! Take one of your old favorites, and let him turn it into a one of a kind work of art.

Frank,

Didn't realize you were posting here too. I just posted your name and web URL in the Buck Forum under custom 532's so that Will York could get in touch with you

Frank did some handle replacement and file work for me on a Cold Steel push dagger and it really came out looking great! Keep up the good work, Frank.

Bob--Thanks for sending me over here. Frank has been helpful in suggesting ways to get abalone onto a Buck 532--hope it works out. He has good ideas, and obviously knows what is realistic with a material and what is not.

Frank--I'll get back to you shortly, and if you have a ballpark price for me on your kaleidoscope spacer idea, please e-mail me. I think your estimated dimensions are right on target.

Thanks to all--Will

Will,

My pleasure! And this spacer idea begs for an expanded description perhaps on a new thread in the Buck Forum. Sounds like you and Frank are conspiring to create a super 532!

Will, you are right on about Frank. The first time I contacted him was about putting stag scales on a production knife. Frank got back to me and explained why he wouldn't advise it, we all know of people that wouldn't have been so up front about it and just taken the job. I met Frank a couple of months later and that's how I would describe him, Upfront and Honest, as well as being an Artist and one heck of a nice guy.

Bob--

The problem on abalone, according to Frank, is that it's hard to find clean blanks more than 2.5" long. So he's suggested blue or green spacers at either end of the abalone in what he calls a kaleidoscope handle. I'll let you know if it works out.

Thanks again--Will
