It is perfectly executed V ground to zero edge. This is absolutely razor sharp! It is a real flesh eater! The formation of the contour of the edge coupled with its amazing sharpness will make this blade bite very deep with minimum effort. The tip is very strong and equally sharp. It will penetrate even the toughest hide with ease. Overall length is 7 1/2"".
The handle is a Japanese cord wrap. It is made of yellow over black cord and it is sealed with West System Epoxy Resin. This is a two part marine grade epoxy that bonds and coats fiberglass, wood metal, fabrics an other composite materials to provide superior strength and moisture resistance. This stuff is top notch! The handle is 1 3/8" wide and offers exceptional purchase while it is also very comfortable to the user's hand.
This knife comes with two sheaths: one is suitable for belt / boot carry and the other is suitable for neck carry. I asked Pohan to make both of them as I wanted to have the options. Both hold the knife securely and are metal lined. These are as strong sheaths as you will ever get on any knife, period. The belt / boot carry sheath has a metal clip that will accommodate belts up to 2" wide. There are 5 metalic studs at the bottom at the lower part of this sheath making it literally bomb proof. The neck carry sheath has a black string which is tied inside the sheath. There are 6 metalic studs at the bottom at the lower part of this sheath making it literally bomb proof too. This sheath can use be used as a static cord sheath as well, like the ones first made famous by James Piorek (aka Bladerigger).
