well, those are awesome looking, i just checked out your site and they're reasonably priced too! i wish you the best luck and i know these will sell like hotcakes!

Check out Jonnymac44 on here, although his knives aren't hardcore tactical looking, I think they still fit the bill.

Thanks guys. We're still just starting out here with these and God knows we have some stiff, stiff competition out there.

I have a few tac designs for edc use that unfortunately may never see the light of day. Michael, if you ever desire some patterns, drop me a line eh.

as it turns out i love japanese styled knives as well, what are the specs of this beauty?

7 inches overall length, 3/16 inch thick a2 at 62.5 HRC. 3.5 inch blade from start of edge to the point. My own design. :) Red stingray wrap with a bronze dragon menuki, wrapped in resin impregnated cord. The pommel is a glass breaker just in case I get trapped in my car or need to extract someone trapped in their car.

Thanks Lorien. These knives were designed both by Dan and myself by combining some of what we think are the best ideas out there and tweaking it to our personal style. I'm not sure bringing in a new designer will help us, but if you wanted a custom knife for yourself, well.... you've still got my mailing address, right?

Here is one I'm still working on

Blade ; Differentially tempered 5160, 5" X 1/4" thick X 1 1/4" wide, flat ground to spine with a convexed edge. Blade has 2 3/4" x 1/4" fuller and unsharpened
clip point.

Handle; Inclined knurled thumb ramp, Index finger recess for better retention and blade control. 4, 1/4" chamfered holes for lashing to a pole for use as a spear
or extended weapon. Extended tab on but for prying and glass breaker. Handle scales are fluted bead blasted black G10 attached with Chicago screws.

OAL; 10 1/4"

I do indeed. Will email you a couple of patterns to check out.

I've started working on a style of what I call primal/tactical knives, forge finished blades with modern warfighter usage in mind. This may or may not include synthetic handle materials and MOLLE compatible sheaths.

I just posted this one:

And another one that went to an airman for his SERE training I posted a while back:

One picked up by another airman while waiting on me to finish up another, bigger blade with a Micarta handle for him:

And an older one with more emphasis on the "primal" end of things, with a sheath by Noah Legel of Wasteland Leatherwork:

I have a number more of 'em that are waiting for sheaths before I post pics, and several orders for such that I haven't yet started. Next ones I post should be a trio destined for some Marines.

I like that Appleby knife a lot. And, I still have a soft spot in my heart for those Storm Crow knives - I made hundreds like that when I was doing Ren Faires back-in-the-day and really love the elegant-simplicity of that style.

i remember seeing a few of those on your site, im a big fan of your work! i like the top one and the bottom one the best! what are the specs on them? the sheath on the bottom one is awesome! one question though, are the hemp/cotton wrapped handles comfortable with heavy use? ( such as chopping, fine work etc)

and when you finish the marine trio if you could post a few pics here i think we would all love to see em.
p.s. that huge bowie you made for that the marine, i think it was called the ridiculously large bowie was a monster, how did he like it?
