i remember seeing a few of those on your site, im a big fan of your work! i like the top one and the bottom one the best! what are the specs on them? the sheath on the bottom one is awesome! one question though, are the hemp/cotton wrapped handles comfortable with heavy use? ( such as chopping, fine work etc)

and when you finish the marine trio if you could post a few pics here i think we would all love to see em.
p.s. that huge bowie you made for that the marine, i think it was called the ridiculously large bowie was a monster, how did he like it?

The mint chocolate fighter is 12 inches overall with a 6 1/2 inch blade, 1 1/4 inches wide at the widest part and a distal taper from 5/32 inch to 1/16 inches 1/2 inch from the tip. Measurements provided by the customer since I didn't get them before it left the table.

The primal Bowie has a 6 inch long blade and is 11 inches overall.

The cotton and hemp are very comfortable. The fellow who did this:

said this: "I thought that the wrapped handle would tear up my hand, but it did not." The tree trunk was almost as big around as the length of the blade, so he chopped plenty to cause a blister if the wrap was going to. I'm of the opinion that the shape of the handle should provide hand retention, not texture.

No worries about posting the trio for the Marines. I try to get all of my completed work up. The problem is I have a whole raft of blades that just need sharpening and sheaths right now. :D

The Marine who got the RLB said it was "lovely" with a Marine-grade adjective in front of that. :)

I've made something even more ridiculously large since then. Just need to get the sheath made and I'll post pics.
