ALL SOLD--THANKS

Three very affordable custom hunters by some great makers, all three very handsome in their presentation, all great potential users ready for the hunting season. None of these has been used, but all show some light handling scratches and scuffs. All have 100% of their useful lives in front of them.

TERMS: Postal Money Orders only, no Paypal. Prices include insured Priority Mail shipping with Delivery Confirmation in CONUS ONLY.

Tiger Maple by John Fitch: $OLD.
Stag by Ryan Whittemore: $OLD.

Ironwood by Jason Howell: JS blade in forged 1084 steel, 5” blade point-to-guard, 10” OAL. 3/16” stock with distal taper to a dropped point. Beautifully complex desert ironwood burl handle, mortised/hidden tang construction. Slender stocks for a precision feel. Very nice brown leather pouch-style sheath by Kenny Rowe. $275 shipped. NOW $250. NOW $225. NOW $OLD. Thanks, Lou.

The Rowe sheath alone would run you over $60 with shipping. That leaves you paying less than $140 for a beautiful 5" ABS hunter in hand-forged 1084 steel and desert ironwood burl INCLUDING INSURED PRIORITY SHIPPING.

This blade has a hand-satin finish applied with just low enough grit that it will be very easy to clean and maintain with a Scotchbrite pad. The only blemishes are surface scratches that only show up under strong light at certain angles--many would call it pristine/mint. The primary blade grind tapers to a thin, very fine cutting edge with very little secondary bevel, and I'm sure it will prove to be a super-efficient cutter. The spine is radiused for comfort. This knife achieves its goal in spades: a very comfortable, handsome, high-performance cutter.

pm for fitch and howell

Thank you for your interest. I'm sorry, but I do not participate in Paypal. Also, I have no experience with shipping to France. For these reasons, you'll note in my first post above that Paypal is not an option and the offer I'm making includes shipping to the continental United States only.

Both the Fitch and the Howell are still available.

Email on Howell.....:thumbup:

Thanks for the trade offers, but not really interested in anything besides Busse Basics (5, 7, 9) or a Busse Skinny ASH1 in trade right now. I'll look at other stuff, but honestly I'm not likely to deal.

Fitch is now sold.

Howell still available. No "I'll take its" yet, but activity appears to be growing.

Don't miss out on this deal:

* Talented, highly-respected ABS smith,
* Great 5" blade size in an ideal profile,
* Forged 1084 steel,
* Hidden tang/mortised handle construction,
* Beautifully complex desert ironwood burl,
* Plus a handsome, solid Kenny Rowe pouch-style leather sheath.

Other than a little shelf wear, this knife is ready to go to work and look very impressive doing it, with all of its useful life ahead. A handsome user ready for the hunting season.

Only $200, including insured Priority Mail shipping to CONUS? That's a steal--and you know it.

A little more about the Howell:

This blade has a hand-satin finish applied with just low enough grit that it will be a breeze to clean and maintain with a Scotchbrite pad. The only blemishes are surface scratches that only show up under strong light at certain angles--many would call this knife pristine, and in terms of not having been used to cut, it is mint. The primary blade grind tapers to a very fine cutting edge with little secondary bevel, and I'm sure it will be a super-efficient cutter. The spine is radiused for comfort. In other words, it has all the little touches you look for in a working hunter.

Bottom Line: This knife achieves its goal in spades: a super comfortable, handsome, high-performance cutter.

Price reduction on the Howell with Rowe sheath. Nice ABS blade from a very talented Journeyman Smith, ridiculously cheap.
