Custom Knife Clips?

I just recieved my Benchmade 615 Mini Rukus. I really like the knife as an EDC but my only complaint is the clip. It doesn't feel as secure as my other Benchmades. Any ideas where I can find a custom clip or a place i can go to modify one of my old clips?

try the BM forums, by not as secure do you mean that the clip isn't holding on to your pocket tightly enough?

a very small inward bend in the clip should tighten it up considerably.

You might want to ask STR. He makes a lot of clips for folks and has his own forum in the makers section.

the clip holds onto my pocket well enough that it doesn't fall out, but it slides around too much. Also if for any reason it were to get caught on a chair while shifting or sitting down it could slide out. I guess i just want something as "secure" as my other Benchmades (I'm a nurse so I can't use "BM" as an abbreviaton for my knives... It means something WAY different to me)

monk3yfist,
I got your e-mail and thought it would be easier to respond here.

STR is the handle of a gentleman named Steve Rice. If you click on "Makers" at the top of any page and scroll down you will come across the following sub-forum.
STR's Backyard KnifeWorks
You can find some of the clips he has done previously in the threads there. I don't have any of his clips, but a lot of forum members send their knives to him and have been very happy with the results. Just another option. :)

This is a problem I have heard more than once, and one I have complained about. It is a problem because the clip material is thin and the long opening in the top of the clip don't help much either. I have a 610 that I love and carry in my edc rotation, but the clip does bug me. I have had Steve Rice, aka STR, make clips for a couple knives and his work is excellent! The prices are also very reasonable.
