Hey all,

I've been drooling over this knife for the past week since I saw it's release. It would be my first $300+ knife purchase, but im a sucker for carbon fiber, titanium, and <7.5 inch knives. What are your guys opinions on the knife and CFK in general. Should I just say screw it and buy it (I really want to:eek:)?

Here are some pics for those interested: http://fromrussiawithknives.com/peaceduke-m390-ti-cf-pro/

Russian knifemakers and manufacturers rocks! Extremely competitive market and superb quality stuff coming from there IMO

Hey RQ!
Awesome looking knife!!! Love the handles.
I bought a Sukhoi 2.0 from them and was very happy with it! Coolest looking blade I have!
I love that there are many choices for the inlays! Blue shred is gorgeous and for what you're getting, price is fair.
I'd go for it bro!
Joe

No opinion about this knife, but I can only recommand CKF. I ordered a T90 from them last year, shipping was very fast, fit&finish of the knife excellent...so if you like the knife and have the funds, go for it !

If you like it, and can afford it, then get it.

Probably should remove that link to a non-supporting knife retail site though.

CKF, Kizer, Reate all offer outstanding knives matching the fit and finish of much expensive knives, go for it

While not a fan of their more "exotic" designs, I love the Morrf. I bought one direct and two on the secondary market. Great value IMO. I'll get the 3.5 inch version of the T90 if they actually make it.

CKF is one of a very small group of makers that I will happily purchase a knife from blindly. I have two of their knives now and both are absolutely perfect in every way. If you like the design, you will not be disappointed in the build quality.

I'm wondering if the knife is intended to allow for four finger grip while gripping it with the forefinger before the flipper? I have medium sized hands? Also, since I'm posting I'll go ahead and ask before searching, what is the purpose of a compound grind such as the one on the Peace Duke? On a big fixed blade I can understand that it might be useful but a three-inch folder? I assume a knife maker demonstrating blade-grinding prowess is part of it

The video included in the link in the first post in this thread answered my questioned. A four-finger grip was possible without using the choil and the compound grind is of questionable utility on a smaller knife.

Compound grind only sort of makes sense when they thinly hollow grind the area closest to the handle. This can allow some thicker material left for a stronger tip and give some decent slicey-ness to the rest of the blade. This knife looks to be backwards and too small to really take advantage of the compound grind. Appears to just be ground to look "cool" - not that there is anything wrong with that.

Hey if you dig the knife then pick it up.

CKF makes some nice knives. I've had two Sukhoi's and a T90. I'm not digging that design though but if it's what you like go for it.

About damn time they do something with a reversible clip. Now if it was a less ugly grind...
