My friend brought me this knife at breakfast this morning. We live in western N.C. and he had bought it 20 years ago at a local gunshop. The maker lived in Boone, N.C. but he couldn't remember his name. The initials on the blade are JML. When he bought it the price was right at 400.00. At any rate he wanted to sell it for 175.00 shipped so I told him I would clean it up and make pictures and post them. The blade must be some kind of stainless because he said it had been in the sheath all that time and there was no rust on it. The sheath is kind of mediocre but the knife in kind of nice. If anyone is interested let me know. Thanks for looking.

the lines in the blade are reflections because the blade is polished.

You should probably make an ID thread about it in Bernard Levine's Knife Collecting & Identification to solve the mystery.
