Can anyone tell me if this is a reputable dealer. I have tried searching and I can't find anything. Thanks.

That's Bob Glassman's website. Bob managed to get himself banned from BFC, but he used to be a regular here.
 
Is it safe to do business with him? There are a lot of nice knives on his site. One in particular I am interested in.

My one transaction with Custom Knife Gallery was excellent in all respects. Bob Glassman was reliable, accurate in detail with good communications. I will not hesitate to deal with him again in the future should the occasion arise.
 
Bob has not gotten to the position he is in by treating anyone unfairly. I am dead certain you will do well with him and he'll come recommended. By you.

I have had alot of dealings with Bob recently, and all have been very positive. I would recommend Bob to anyone who is is looking for an honest internet dealer of custom knives.

I've only had one dealing with him,but it went smooth,no problems at all,and everything was as his web-site stated.
 
Bob and Blade Forum Admins didn't see eye to eye on something, he got banned, but, I trust him 100% to ship any knife I pay for, I have bought several knives from him, some were expensive, nothing to worry about he is absolutely a reputable dealer.
 
He used to be a sneaky type.But he has gotten better in the last year or so. ;)
Seems to be doing well in his new venture.

No. That is Jack Alvarez.

I have never heard or read one bad thing about Custom Knife Gallery. If he were not an honest person I doubt that he would have a business relationship with so many highly respected knifemakers.
 
I reserved a knife on the internet and he called me for payment information. Everything seems to be going fine. I ordered a Ray Cover Sr. slip joint. I can't wait to get it. I'll try to post some photo's when I get it. Thanks for all of the feedback. I really love this place.

I recieved my Ray Cover Sr knife today from Custom Knife Gallery; :eek: Wow! I would highly recommend this site to fellow forumites who have the hankering for a custom knife. Bob was wonderful to deal with and the transaction was smoother than silk. I won't hesitate spending my $ there in the future.

Glassman is honest, but he earned himself a reputation for making insultingly low offers on knives, especially to people in dire circumstances. Like people needing to pay funeral expenses, he'd low ball their sales.

I think you are totaly wrong about Bob. I have had numerous dealings with Bob over the last few months.I have sold him knives and he has sold me knives.Never once did he try and take advantage of me, he always paid me what I asked and went out of his way to accomadate me on a knife I purchassed from him. Bob is aces with me and I would reccommend him to anybody looking for a fair and smooth transaction.
