Custom Knife Lovers- What Else Do You Collect? Post Pics.

Before I started collecting knives I collected fountain pens (MontBlanc, Montegrappa, Visconti, etcetera) and a few nice watches. Then I sold those and started with knives. Now after quite a few years I have lost a bit of interest in knives (mainly because those I like are more and more out of my financial reach). I have had a lingering interest in scrimshaw for a while (due to the work of Bob Engnath and Rick Fields). So a year or so back I started to collect scrimshaw and here are a few examples of what I have currently. Besides the Stothart the others were specially made for me...you like custom or you don't;):D

According to my wife, I collect hobbies. :D

My wife says the same thing. I have more hobbies then anything. And depending in what's going on is depending on what hobby I'm in. I have my pedal bikes. my harley. leatherwork. My horses. And now thanks to this forum I have started to get into knives.

I carve, collect, and use my own flat water canoe paddles. I used to make A LOT of these years ago and I have several hundred around the planet, but these are some of the ones I've made for my wife, daughter and myself.

My wife collects and plays Eastern Woodlands Indian flutes. These three were made by White Crow Flutes(Barry Higgins http://www.whitecrowflutes.com/Bio.htm) in Easthampton, MA.

These are the "fetishes" that fit atop each flute's sound hole to produce the sound.

Cajun very cool

I love bikes and have ridden sleds and bikes my whole life

Regretfully I do not get to ride as much these days but since I bought the big KTM I am riding the hell out of it and love it

We use the air boats on skinny rivers

They are the same as yours but we have heavy aluminum bottoms and 3/4 inch Poly on the hulls

Only other things I collect are fly rods. I don't even know how many I have but I use most of them for my other passion in life, fishing (salt, fresh, lakes, rivers and oceans). I sort of collect kayaks but only so I have the right one when opportunity knocks.

And highly figured wood. I'm a hobby woodworker and I'm a sucker for cool burls, curly, crotch, etc. I generally buy stuff even if I don't have a use in mind. Then I figure out what that piece would be good for.

I'd like to say I also collect guns. I have over a dozen but in Texas that isn't a collection, just the bare minimum.
