While you are re-thinking the CKS process, I think it would be great if the "Custom crafted by" card that allows the knife maker to add their name also gave a date when it was crafted. As it is, when one buys a CKS item on the second hand market, there is no way to know when it was made.
I am not sure I made the question clear. We would continue to mark the blades with "Custom" by either redesigning the Buck Anvil USA to include "Custom" and remove "Custom Knife Shop" or keep as is?
Lay out what you want to change it to and let us help pick the new design! It makes no differance to me, as I don't order these knives. I think I've only ordered one from the CKS in all of the years I've collected Buck knives. I do like the markings, as I have bought a few that others had made. It's nice to know that they were built in the CKS.
