Custom Knifemakers Who Carry Cheap knives?

Esav: I'm sitting here in my office laughing my head off at your post and co-workers want to know the joke. Now I can't quit laughing. Thanks.

I carry my own blade on my belt "My Utility" model so that I can whip it out at any opportunity and say "this is what I make". You have to believe in your product. But, I don't make pocket knives so I collect them and carry what I feel like suits the occasion when my sheath knife is not "legal". My favourite is a "Svord Peasant" made by Baker in New Zealand. I also have a SAK in my pocket and sometimes a Multi-tool on my belt.

this just seems to fall into the adage of the mechanics car is always the last to get fixed.
The last thing i want is to play with something i built. I would far rather play with someone else's, test it, use it, see how it works for the purpose it was manufactured. Whoever is using my products will certainly let me know how it performed.
seems just natural human curiosity to study what someone else has manufactured. Or it could be for any of the other reasons posted here. i guess it would be like a mercedes mechanic driving a bmw
