Custom knives made by famous companies...

One of my friends tried to order the custom (he designed it) knife from Puma. They asked $500 for it!

Not sure will it worth it or not... what do you think guys?

We can do almost any custom order for... $450 :)
 
I have seen some custom knives made in 60's-70's by bill moran fetching price like 2000-3000$ sometimes more. All depends what do you call custom. If it is an all hand made knive including forged and heat treated steel blade as well custom hand graved handles etc etc made by a famous knife maker then the price can be justified. I am not into custom knives to be honest, I prefer a real user which is a no frills and no fancy knife. But this is just me.
 
No I'm talking about knife made by famous FACTORY like for example PUMA but made according you personal request.
