I can't seem to connect correctly.
I want to see Custom Mach-1

Were these made by Emerson, or simply beautified by this other guy?

No offense, but those are uuuugly. Ok, maybe do that to a Sebenza, but the Mach-1 is a tactical knife. That's like shaving a german shephard; when your done it's just not scarry anymore.

Personally, I dig ironwood very much.
Rosewood is nice too.

Otherwise, no danger in my spending my money on this sort of customization.

Good taste is clearly a subjective thing.
Restraint in design and embellishment is so much more tolerable.
Radical customization of a production folder?... well, to each his own.

There is even a market for Franklin's HAWG stuff, and for el cheapo Hibben Fantasy production pieces.

what i want to know is who will do the warantee work if the lock is not up to par on the knife?

now, i am an emerson customer with 2 GREAT commanders, and i have not had a problem with emerson knives yet, lord willing i wont ever.

but these knives are not original factory knives.

does emerson still service them, or will the customising person, or is the buyer $hi+ out of luck if the knife has a faulty lock??

As far as I understand, ANY custom work on the knives does in fact void the Emerson warranty.
The written notice comes with every (NIB) knife.

I can't say if the warranty would be void or not.

I would think it's along the same lines as having a pistol worked over by a Gunsmith. If you have it changed from it's original form, you take the chance that it would void the warranty. However, in my experience, companies are pretty receptive to their customers needs.
