I've got several used hand made Custom knives sitting around not being used and this is one of them and I am putting up for sale cheap: $55. including shipping.
This knife was Hand made by Lloyd Richard Harner III or Butch as he is known by most of us here at Blade Forums. He is a talented knife maker as I can attest too and also goes by the BF name butcher_block here.
I purchased this fine stout Drop Point Hunter/Skinner knife 3 years ago from Butch. It is forged of 1/8 inch premium ATS-34 steel and Full Tang construction. The Blade is 3 3/4 inches from tip to tang and 8 3/4 inches overall. RC is 60. The scales are Maple Burl with SS Corby bolts.
I have skinned 3 Florida Whitetail and 1 Florida Wild Bore and a few Cotton Tails with her as well as some camp chores, such as in slicing, dicing and cutting to cook potion size meat with..
She has never been abused whatsoever. I butcher and quarter my game with a Ruana Hatchet and am not one who takes a hammer or other metal tools to his precious Custom made cutters to brake bone or cartilage..
This knife is quite stout and will last someone a lifetime. This was my pack-knife I kept in the cab of my Ford PU under cover in the pack and I have maintained this knife well, however the Florida weather has begun to shrink the scales a bit and their is one hairline crack on the front Maple Burl scales that just appeared at the back location near the Corby bolt. This does not affect the scales at all while in use and they entire handle is stable and not loose and does in no way effect the integrity of the knife. Other than the scales flaw, the knife is in good condition and will be a fine user for many decades to come and is ready to use.
I paid real good money for this knife but would like to pass it on for $55.USD which includes USPS 1st Class shipping with Delivery Confirmation in the USA at my expense to the first guy or gal who wants her..
Please SEE THE PHOTOS I just took now before this post! If you need additional pictures or want to ask any questions at all please email me through the BF system.
Thanks,
Anthony
