Made by master leather worker and steel heat treater David Doerr, these saps are made from the finest leather and have 9oz lead weights in the heads, cast onto 01 tool steel heat treated and tempered flat springs. Dave has taken his favorite sap designs, and used 4 layers of the highest grade leather for a fairly thick and comfortable handle. I own several of Dave's saps, and they are terrific. I have compared them to other makers, and aside from Todd's they pale in comparison.
