I'm just looking for the names of some custom (or mid-tech) knife makers that make some sweet Ti framelock non-flippers for @ $500-$600.

I don't know many custom knife makers. I want to expand my horizons.

Mac Wasil knives, makes autos, non-flippers, and flippers. I really like the knives I have of his.
Ferrum Forge occasionally has non-flippers, might be able to choose a non-flipper option on their pre-orders, not sure. I really like their knives!
Jeremy Robertson Calavera Cutlery, makes non- flippers and flippers. Good EDC knives!
Milos Kislinger, makes lots of different styles. Got an order out right now for one of his blades.
Sean O'Hare, prices might be high though
J. Hoover, he is on the forum, sells knives here.
Michael Zieba

Really too many to list. Most of those I have owned at one point. Good luck on the search!!

Check out the knifemakers for sale area here too. I have bought a couple really nice knives here.

*Honestly right now is a great time to pick up customs on the cheap, market is saturated and people need extra $$$ for the holidays. I'd scour the customs for sale heavily right now.

Awesome. Thanks guys. I'll start looking right now.

I had a Chaves Redencion 228 but sold it. Now I miss it so I may buy another one. I'm a fickle beast.

I will look a the makers you guys recommended.

Damn you seemed stoked for that chaves. Why'd you sell it?

I can't really recommend custom makers, all the ones I know specialize in balisongs :D

Good luck on your search.

Check out Marshall Noble knives. Most of his folders are flippers but I know he does non flippers as well. I have seen and handled his knives in person and they are impressive. I plan on asking him to make me a non flipper late next year

I have a Dervish Knives NavEDC that I LOVE. John makes an amazing knife, I can not say enough about it.

Ugh , I know. Sometimes I'm just foolish. I'm seriously going to buy another one.

Rob Carter might still be taking orders for a run of what he calls a custom-tech. I would strongly advise you to check it out.

Out of curiosity, why the preference for a non-flipper?

What if it also had a different opening method like a hole or thumb stud?

I don't know much about the custom and mid-tech world but starting to look some. I really like the look of the Zieba S2 but it's a flipper and not sure how easy it is to get. My problem is that I want something besides a frame/liner lock or back lock. Very few knives when you take out those 2 locking systems.

I just hate the "trigger". I had a couple flippers that I tried but I'm just not a fan.
