Hello dear friends,

With God's good will today i present you a new design meant to cover the 'classic' niche in our portfolio - a solid full size titanium frame lock with an sleek and classy look.

I called this one 'Egypt' for obvious reasons :D

Ill start by saying that this knife is something i do not usually do (engraving and selective hand anodizing) but it was a commission for a friend which unfortunately due to some other urgent investments had to cease the project - so it might not be on anyone's taste but this is what i was asked for and what i was able to do in this very new for me 'art' of engraving.

Built around a titanium 'core' this folder is a gorgeous cutter and a great looker.

An aluminium/vanadium alloy, Grade 5 TA6V titanium offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, toughness and ductility hence it was the choice for the frame of the folder.
The detent ball is high quality ceramic for an ever lasting smooth action without deformations.

All screws are precision machined blackened steel, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel so no wear in there even after prolonged years of use.
The blade slides on phosphorous bronze washers with 'grease pockets'.

The blade is made using the high carbon W2 tool steel at 63 hrc (beware it is not rustproof but you know me - i am the carbon steel guy :D), with a high flat grind, and a 'dark fog' hamon to match the overall theme. The blade comes razor sharp and is correctly centered.

The 'Egypt' features on short:

- very light and yet very strong.
- W2 tool steel, 63 hrc, with a high flat grind, and a 'dark fog' hamon to match the overall theme.
- Grade 5 TA6V titanium - super fine satin finish cnc/hand engraved and selective handmade anodizing (this whole process was a HUGE time consuming task) - 'Anubis' & 'king Tut'
- NEW feature - carbidized lock face.
- high quality ceramic detent ball.
- phosphorous bronze washers with 'grease pockets'.
- body screws are precision machined stainless steel that are heat colored in line with the 'REEF' theme, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel.
- pivot has 'titanium' countersunk anodized aluminum washers.
- custom one off 'shiny gold' solid brass thumb stud.
- custom milled carbon fiber tip up pocket clip can be added for a small fee.

OAL - 7.87", Blade - 3.55"

Because i really need some funds the price for this 'Egypt is only - 270 usd (express shipping included).

All the best, God bless,
Bogdan
