This was, and is my first custom knife. I'm going through a lot of emotions while I'm writing this post but I've been out of work for a little while and need to let this one go.
It's a reduced Bluephin which means it is smaller than his normal beast of a flipper. It is a 3 1/4 inch S35VN zero grind tanto blade with a 4 3/4 inch handle. The action is IKBS. It's the perfect size and heft. The lock side is orange peeled, bead blasted and stonewashed as well as anodized bronze. The non-lock side is bolstered the same way and has a marbled carbon fiber scale. The backspacer is carbon fiber.
Mr. Leu was amazing to work with and this piece is one of a kind, he hasn't made another like it and nothing even close.
Lock up, seating and detent are perfect and the fit and finish is World class.
It truly pains me to let this one go but I have no choice.
