Custom or Production.

Custom. Only because I can get the features that I want, and I don't have to settle for something that is almost what I want.

When I was looking to "upgrade" my woods knives I came this close to pulling the trigger on a RC-3. Knowing deep down I would have to strip it as soon as I got it. And have to learn to live with the choil.

I saw all these guys here with their customs and thought I'd never be able to afford one. Untill I really looked into the makers area here.

I got the knife I wanted for not all that much more than a RC-3, got hooked and bought a few more.

With the quality and value you get from the custom makers we have here, I will probably never buy another production fixed blade.
Stomper, Fiddleback, Breeden, Gossman etc. You tell them exactly what you need and you get it. No need to buy a production knife that is close to what you want.
I will agree with you 'Ol Bud...The only production that I'm wanting is a RatCutlery RC5...why ? I'm not sure, Just want one :D You are right, with all these fine custome makers on here you can get what ever type/style knife you want & the cost is really close + or - a bit to a production
