Custom order #801 five years to the day. Still waiting patiently. (I have held one, I don't mind the wait).

MSR,
What did you order?? I have a Leftie "6" I've been waiting on for 3+ yrs and your order # is way several hundred below mine

It is for a customized (5") CF1 fixed blade.
I spoke to Ernie a month ago and he said 'be patient'.

JimBob, my friend, methinks you've got a teeny bit more waiting to do.... several HUNDRED? wow.

Of course, that's just MY opinion - I could be wrong. - Dennis Miller

Awhile back I read where the wait for a LOVELESS knife was eight years or more. I thought who in their right mind would wait eight years for a knife? Question asked and answered! My three custom orders are going on four years and I am still waiting. My invoice numbers are four digits long but less than 2000.

A three digit invoice number not yet fulfilled leads me to believe I may be waiting four more years yet?

These knives better be as nice as you EMERSON custom owners say they are.

Knife Thrower, waited 5 years for my 6. It was as nice as everyone said! Now I will wait for my ES1-M. Dick

Waiting for a CQC6. Number in the low 4 digits. I am told however that the number does not mean much, because of the many different knives. For example there is a list for 6's and a different list and number for say CQC5's. Can anybody verify this? Maybe i am wrong. Good luck to everyone who is waiting.

Ok Everyone,
I dug this out my filing cabinet, it's a response to an earlier email that I had sent
It's dated 6/1/00
"The current wait for custom knives is currently 4-5yrs Because you ordered your knife in "97" you may expect the knife sometime in 2001 or early 2002"
so what does everyone think??

JimBob, I would be thinking 2002. My invoice was low 600's and I got my CQC-8 at the beginning of 2001. It was a 5 year wait.

I have two sequencial invoice numbers for different knives.

I think that knives are made in batches. That would make sense. In this way numbers do not mean that knives will be made in the order they were taken. This is pure supposition on my part from what I have read.

I too am guessing that I will see my orders in the next year or two but I have long since stopped holding my breath.

In a hundred years who will care anyway?

I also think that invoice # does not mean anything when predicting delivery. My invoice # is in the low 500 for the CF1. My guess is that the fix blade is not high on the priority list in comparison to the folders.

Hey Everyone,
I can wait, after all there is the C/P Shop where orders will only take 8 weeks, so I should see my bolstered "Leftie Commander"
in no time
