Hi Guys,
This is a custom order for a new customer of mine. It is patterned after the Bowie I made for my JS test knives.

Here are the spec's,

Differentially Heat treated Blade.
Blade length 11.5"
Over all length 17."
Max blade height 2."
Blade thickness at recosso .225"
Guard, spacer and Butt plate 416 stainless.
Pummel is fixed on and has a mosaic pin inset.
A+++ Desert Ironwood Burl handle.

Slick blade and a super-nice piece of wood for the handle.

Really nice lines. I particularly like the thickness of the guard. The contours of the pummel are superb as well. The handle is stunning..... Great capture by Coop!

Outstanding piece. Fit/finish/execution all first rate.
Beautiful Ironwood as well.

This knife is HUGE. It's 17" and has a really fine hand-rubbed finish. I could not capture any of that.

It's also thin and light--especially for it's size. Deluxe hardware is now a solid characteristic of Dave's work. He's learning learned the first rule of good bladesmithing: Make it simple and really clean, then add ornaments.

Thanks for the image props. Now, back to the knife....

Coop

Outstanding Bowie......super clean, as has been stated, and my favorite size of knife......BIG! ;)

Zoomed in on the DI burl with my new magic mouse and I'll agree with Roger and Kevin on the lovely specimen it is.
Terrific Bowie, clean lines superbly executed.
Masterful images, Coop.
Great work, David.
Yes, large. :)
