Radius platens made to order. So for any brand machine or for your homemade grinder.
Machine rolled with a 29” radius that simulates a 58” contact wheel.
And for the more visible grinds the 14” radius platen that simulates a 28” wheel.
These platens are used for making s-grinds on kitchen knifes or making hollow grinds.
All platens are made of a hardox curved contact platen and a mild steel backplaten welded to each other.
The advantage of hardox is that it wont be affected by heat like hardened carbon steel does and its very wear resistent.
Going to start on the newly arrived hardox this week to roll it in to 29” and 14” radius stock.
