Back in February I sent my ZT 0700 to Matt at BellaBlades for a set of custom orange/black carbon fiber handles. Original timeline was two months, but due to various delays I got them earlier this month. He kept me very well informed on the status of his list, where I was on it, and the issues preventing delivery. It's custom work, so it takes a while. Wasn't worried about it. And it was worth the wait.








I got the knife in hand and it hasn't left my pocket since I got it. The work is superb. By the nature of the orange/black carbon fiber, they're thicker than the originals, about 1.5x, but it feels solid in the hand. Edges are well chamfered, and fit the contours of my hand very well. The texture on the scales is superb. It feels glossy, but not slick enough that it moves in my hand. The fit and finish is on par with what the stock knife had, if not better.

I'm super satisfied, and I would recommend getting work done by Matt, and I have some other projects I'm talking to him about now.
 
Thank you for the kind words and being understanding through out. That surgery, job changes etc was hard. Im glad it is all over with. It is much better getting jobs done in a few days returned to people.
You were also great to work with. And I hope that doing the job for free, besides the material was my part of understanding in return.

That is excellent work, the chamfering and added width will feel great if you do a lot of push cutting....
 
Thank you. I need to check your give away! Good point. He said it feels that way.
As I worked I left it at .119 with the extra deep chamfer. It literally feels like a fixed blade.

One thing I forgot/didn't want to mention until I cleared it with Matt, is that he didn't charge me for labor because of the time delay. I didn't ask him, he just offered. Great customer service.

Matt is a good guy. I don't carry this knife often, but I still admire his work that went into this scale.
