So, I have seen many custom scales on mini griptilians, I love the knife myself but find the plastic feel of the handle to well not feel so good. What custom scales would you recommend, how much are they, and post a pic! thanks knife folks!

I am quite surprised to see that no one has responded to you.
I, of all people here, should not be answering. Because I could be quite bias.
So, let me just say that Wilkins and Cuscadi are two big names in Custom Mini-Grip scales. Their work is always awesome. I have never heard one complaint about either companies product. In my experience, prices can range any where from $100 to $300. Depending on what you want. You would really have to talk with a maker to get a better idea of what your cost would be. Hopefully more users will post with pics and info. I have many custom Mini-Grip scales. For my EDC, I prefer Canvas Micarta. It's grippie, yet comfortable and good looking too. Good luck in your search.

At first, I didn't like the plastic handles, but they've since grown on me. However... those custom scales look tempting, especially that micarta.

Keyman,
The last pair of grips. Did you request the rounded scales? I love those. Also the first one is that g10 or micarta

Here's my 555HGB with G-10 Wilkins Scales.

I really love the look and feel of these scales.

I think keyman makes those himself. Very nice.
trey999 is correct.
Thanks trey.

Thanks, me too.
I made all of these myself. Some for me, some for others.
The last pair are my personal carries; full size & mini Ritters in M2 with brown micarta scales...with standoffs of coarse.
The first one is black paper micarta with a mirror finished Aluminum back spacer.

Have both the Wilkins and the Cuscadi scales (Wilkins yellow Cuscadi Carbon)

I really do not like the Wilkins scales, the edges of the grips are just too sharp for extended use.
To the point where i gave up using the Wilkins gripped blade and used my LM skeletool instead as it was less painful on the hands.

The Cuscadi scales though are absolutely fantastic.

Looks wise, the Wilkins grips look like they've taken a block of plastic, clamped it to a milling machine and gone out for lunch, up close it looks very industrial.

The Cuscadi grips look as though they have been crafted by hand, then shaped.

Obviously everyone is different has different sized hands and different grips, but to me the Cuscadi grips are a LOT better than the Wilkins grips.

Which is surprising as i paid €80 for the Cuscadi grips and €152.80 for the Wilkins grips.

I bought the Wilkins grips as i've read many good reviews on them, to be honest after 2 weeks i took them off and refitted the stock grips as they were a LOT more comfortable.

These are new.

Anodized Aluminum.

They should be in my hand next week.

There's an all red set too.

Where did you get those pocket clips? Did they come with the scales or did you order those separately elsewhere?

Is there a how-to somewhere for making your own Grip scales? I would like to know how to transfer the pattern, and what order to do the various cuts and holes in.

Any help is good. I've thought about re-gripping my 556 for a while now, but haven't been brave enough to try it.
