Recommendation? Custom Scales

Purchased a GB2 in hopes I could get some custom wood scales made for the thing to give it that "new take on traditional folder" kind of deal. I've searched high and low and can't seem to find anyone that seems trustworthy? I know Sketchenscales or whatever is good but his thread seems to be inactive and I'm not so sure he's even taking orders now.

So any advice?
 
BTGuy BTGuy its a sad day..he says he doesn't own a GB2 so he can't make the scales ..was worth a shot I guess

I figured I could just send someone my knife right? Should be an issue of whether THEY have the knife or not?
 
That's too bad. I wasn't sure, but he had other Spyderco's listed on his site.

I'm sure there's others that can make some scales for your Gayle Bradley. Maybe another forum member can recommend someone.

He has done 5 sets of scales for me and each time I dealt with him was a pleasure. Great guy who does amazing work!!
Here are 3 that he did.

Yeah..it seems like he's the only guy in the business on here. Well..I guess I'll comment on his thread to put my name in the hat now. It's a shame I can't have these sooner!

This...it's just a bunch of threads and they all have like 8-15 replies. I don't know man it's just doesn't rub me the right way. The only person I recognize on there is razor edge

I haven't, but I'll try this. From my experience it seemed like a waste of time to post in the "wanted" sections of the forum. It goes un-looked sadly.

I'm just hoping this steve character can do them for me as he seems the most reputable
 
Once I sent Steve the knife, once he sent me the scales to fit myself. I found Steve Ketchen is very good at accommodating your needs.

Why not ask him if you can send the knife in to have scales made? Then he has the template for future use also.

He seemed pretty adamant about only making scales for the knives HE owns. I just don't get it. Lol.
