Great story.That movie is one of my favorites,and that scene sent chills down my back.
Siebert makes an awesome knife.
 
In reading this story I can't help but think of that retired Seal member on Ultimate warrior show down or something like that, who demonstrated his knife skills on a martial arts dummy. I guess there are people out there who could possibly take that knife from him but i doubt it. Sweet knife with a cool story. Congrats, Les

In it he talks about the knife, refers to me as 'the customer' and even mentions the custom patches I had made up to commemorate the knife!

This is amazing. It was 22 years ago that I first saw the knife in the film 'The Abyss' and 21 years since I first saw the knife in a magazine.
Here I am more then 2 decades later looking at pictures of my replica in 'Blade' magazine!

The story is compelling and worthy. I'm impressed on all levels.

Sorry that the circumstances had to lead to selling it. It certainly has found a worthy steward. Win/win.

Coop - Shane has made two such knife, but I have not bought a knife from him but from his "customer" ..
I do not know where his piece!

2 were made such a knife, Shane kept one for himself,
this is the one he made ​​for the buyer / customer , because the blade is written - 1 of 2
