Custom sheath for a custom bali, nice bali !

Thanks Dusty One, and yes, I would certainly recommend one of Shawn's knives
any day of the week, I'm tempted to place an order for a three inch modified wharncliffish
bladed one myself :)

Wow, what a beautiful package!

Forgive me, but I'm having trouble understanding the wider part of the knife going in through a narrower section of the sheath to finally seat in a wider bottom???

That's the way it works. Gary can best explain it. Believe me, it works very, very well. :D

Thanks Phil and it's a matter of retention, the leather, being leather,
allows the knife's horn's to squeeze through and then the horns seat
into place at the end of the sheath, providing secure retention without
the need of a flap. The horns on this knife are wider than I would like
them to be, as I say, good for protection, tough for sheath making ;)
The BM4x series knives have horns not quite as wide.

forgot to add, if you tried to make the handles go in the other direction
there wouldn't be much if any retention to be had, on this particular knife
you could possibly make a sheath to allow the handles to go in the other direction
since there isn't a Latch to interfere with their entry, on regular knives the latch
poses the problem, plus there is still the retention...
