I ordered and paid for a sheath on 6-27-05.I sent a email a couple weeks after that asking for a ETA on it and was told "next week" and got nothing.Contacted again on 7-24-05 and have not gotten a reply. So its going into 6 weeks now.Am I wrong in thinking that this is to long to wait?

Did you order a Kydex or leather sheath? I generally get my kydex sheaths in two to three weeks and the leather ones in about 1 to 1 1/2 months, I don't usually get anything fancy.

:D

It may not be too long, but if it was going to take this amount of time then you should have been informed of that in the first place.

Vess Leatherworks normally takes 2 weeks to make a custom sheath, and he doesn't want a pre-payment...

6 weeks and bad communication :thumbdn: :thumbdn:

Just got a custom leather sheath in from Kenny Rowe that took about a month. He waits until the sheath is ready to ship, then calls for a credit card number and to let you know it's going out.

This was a kydex sheath.I will wait until the weekend and try to contact them again.

Too long to wait for a sheath, particularly when you have already paid. I do business with Brian Wagner of Okuden and he delivers a great product in a short time period (two weeks tops, if memory serves) and i did not get charged until it was ready to ship. Getting the run around sucks, i would demand a response or i would contact the credit card company and try to revoke the payment.

It takes an hour to make a plastic sheath, and that's if you're slow like me! Reason #8,623 I never ask for a dime until the knife is ready to ship. :barf:
