Custom Shop/532s ???

I just picked up one of these nice folders, only mine has the brown wood slabs. I agree, it would be a nice candidate for some custom work. Possibly some pearl slabs? Wouldnt this be even nicer with a flat ground blade? How about if Buck came up with a fixed blade version of this knife, only in a dangler type sheath that clips onto your belt loop?

To be honest, I don't think I'd change a thing about the blade. I love it exactly as it is. I guess I'm the odd man out on these forums, but in my experience and usage, I prefer hollow grinds. No matter from what manufacturer or maker, the hollow grind just seems to work better. Maybe it is my sharpening technique is not compatible with flat or sabre grind? Dunno. But I curse every time I have to resharpen the edge on my 710's. And only slightly better on my Nimravus Cub, and Military. Nope, for me, the hollow grind is the best.

But, as for all your other suggestions... yep, I like those, for certain.

Allen Elishewitz is now making some in-the-pocket sheaths, like the ones described above (but nylon). $8 apiece.

Yeah, rockspyder, this thread has turned into a pretty eclectic stew

. I'm still hopeful that Pete will chime in eventually (hint, nudge).
In the meantime, I just today received my BCC newsletter and the Club knife is ready to order! Yipes, for sale board here I come! Gotta get this one, missed the last years.
Does it ever end ? (hope not)

Brian,
Your in luck, it does not end! By the way, i have last years club knife if you are interested. It is the 503 done up exactly like this years 501. It will have raindrop damascus bolsters and stag inlays.

Take care,
