Custom Shop 55

I've built a silver-bolstered, Magnacut drop-point in Elk at least 5 times since I got the email about the 55 being in the Custom Shop. One of these times, I just need to pull the trigger, lol.

That's like "The Gambia" or "The Ohio State University." But yeah, Buck doesn't seem to be certain as to what to call it. Sometimes it's the "055," sometimes the "55," and sometimes "The 55."

Also, I maintain that it is not "one-half the size of a 110." It is one-eighth the size! (One-half in each of three dimensions, 2^3 = 8. )

Perhaps it should have been the 55.5 as the curved bolsters are more reminiscent of the 111 than the 110.

I ordered a 503 Prince like that, albeit not magnacut. It might look similar to this only with curved bolsters.

I'm very tempted by the Elk / Magnacut option, especially if it would chunk it up a bit. The slender 55 is wonderfully portable and despite its diminutive size I've found it very capable. Having a bit more girth on it would be even more appealing to me.
