I could see how that could happen. When it comes to my knives if the shop or I can't do it, then I learn how too. I've got to buy some more less expensive knives and learn to belt sharpen them. Convex I'm still doing the mouse pad and sand paper technique.

Mousepad and sandpaper still works wonders for a good convex on your own, but can take a while.

Most of the satin custom shops I have seen came with convex edges.
