Custom Shop Tempest.

Hello,

I just received my Buck Custom shop Tempest in mirror-polished 154cm.

OH NO!!!!!

Dammit. First day and I already have to send it in. I wouldn't think a knife with lockup this far would get past Buck's quality control. :grumpy:

Does anybody know if this is a common thing with the tempest?

My brothers and I have 4 between us. I used mine alot, and the liner lock went over that far (after years), but still locked the blade tight. I never had an issue with it, until the safety lock broke off the back of the frame. Once it came back from Buck though, it was good as new!

So I guess I have never seen one go that far- on a new one anyway!

I got a couple of these awhile back at the Post Falls factory. They said it was a build out to be offered first to the BCC first then the leftovers were for sale in the factory store. I was able to get two of them. Here's the link to the original post I put up about it. It's a dandy!

Well I sold that knife to Matt. Damn discouraging to see this happen.

I have a couple liner locks that go pretty far over but are still safe. Buck of course will make it good if you send it in.
